Job Description

• Develops detailed procedural steps for each well construction project on the rig. Incorporates lessons learned from previous wells, optimize drilling programs for maximum efficiency and optimal costs.
• Ensures well designs and procedures are consistent with sound environmental policy, company guidelines, and meet all existing regulatory requirements. implement recommended bit and hydraulics programs for all wells.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of second class Lower Division.
• Minimum of Twelve (12) years relevant post degree work experience (includes National Youth Service) in drilling engineering and operations, preferably some of which should be in Deepwater Operations.
• Strong analytical, team work and problem solving skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Demonstrable ability to execute deep water well programs.
• Ability to coordinate a multitude of contractors and equipment in a complex deepwater drilling environment.
• Demonstrable capability to analyze and solve complex well drilling and completions.problems.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of well planning software
• Good understanding of community and logistics issues related to drilling in Nigeria environment
• Effective communication skills.
